This product - Er Jing Tiao pepper is one of the widely-used chili peppers used in Sichuan Cuisine. The shape of the pepper is a long,slim curve. Among the peppers used in Sichuan Cuisine, Er Jing Tiao has very strong aroma while its spiciness is in the middle of the scale. It is used in many Sichuan Cuisine dishes such as Fish Aroma Stir-Fried Slivers. The dried Er Jing Tiao is used in Gong Bao Ji Ding (Kong Pao Chicken) and Chili Pepper Chicken. It is also used in Hot Pot and Dry Pot.
In US market, it's very rare to find Er Jing Tiao. Most of Chili Peppers imported from China come from Tianjing or Shandong province, not from Sichuan which is the mainly growing area of Er Jing Tiao.
